Tom: 7.1 “Not Again”

Last time with the Diffys, Tom officially asked Gwen out, and he, Gwen, Leslie, and Harrison went on a vacation to China. This time…

Tammy 2 is growing into an elder.

And she’s still pissed at me for having her parents die at a “young” age.

Tammy 2: “This is all your fault, you murderer!”

And I’ve got another one to add to my body count. I didn’t mean for it to happen this way! But all you cats did was take naps! Never eating, never socialising, always on the brink of the social worker! Of course, that’s changed since my game is running better, but I didn’t know that would happen!

C’mon Aidan, you never gave these cats any attention.

Aidan: “How can you say that? I loved them like they were my own…”

They were your own. They were your own pets!

Before Tom takes over, I wanted to add a couple more things to the park. I put in some more lights and added a playground area. This brought the value of the lot up to level 3. I was also going to have Wanda plant some stuff from the garden in here, but I had forgotten that you can’t do that off the home lot.

Someone is fiendishly delighted for his birthday.

Wanda has been wanting to show off her “new gizmo” all day.

Wanda: “Isn’t it just so old school? I mean, talk about ancient technology!”

Ben: “Whoa, how did you even get one of those? That is so old and rare!”

Wait, is that just a game controller? Did you just pick that up from the living room? Hipsters…

Aidan had rolled the wish to throw a birthday party for Ben, which is just so cute that I had to include him, too.

And we all know he looks the same, so moving on…

Now for Tom’s turn!

This fire got so big so fast. ;_; Don’t die, Tom. ;_;

Gwen is always doing homework. 😡

Tom: “This. Is. Embarrassing.”

You’re alive. ;_; You guys just don’t know what I’ve been through, here. I had Wanda call the firefighters immediately, but it’s pretty rare that one of my Sims actually gets caught on fire from the birthday cake. It’s usually just the furniture that catches, and it lasted so long that there was definitely a chance for Tom to die. Ben and Harrison luckily put out the table fire, and Aidan eventually got Tom. In pictures you can’t tell, but it really took so long to put his fire out. ;_;

And the firefighter shows up as Tom is taking a shower.

Back at it again. If you die, Leslie is the heir. You can’t let that happen, can you?!

Success! I can admit that Tom looks a lot like Aidan, but I believe he has Wanda’s lips, and that makes him not a total clone and, therefore, smexy. He added computer whiz on to hates the outdoors, evil, athletic, and handy. I honestly had no idea what LTW to give him, especially since the career I rolled with him doesn’t have a LTW associated with it. In the end I went with The Tinkerer, which is to max the logic and handiness skills.

The next day I demolished the old house and built this much smaller house. I was really getting tired of the other house; it was honestly too big. I want something simpler.

Here is an aerial view. I’m pretty proud of myself because I didn’t even use a reference photo, but I think it came out pretty good.

Oh yeah, I glitched Sally. While I was building, I moved her urn into the family inventory to get it out of the way (I was doing this with a lot of stuff that I wanted to keep for the new house). But since her ghost form was out and about, now I can’t move the urn back out of the family inventory, even with moveobjects cheat. I’m not sure what to do about this, but for now I’m okay with having her forever haunt us. She keeps Tammy 2 company.

I have rolled A Sim for All Seasons as my miscellaneous fun, which is basically to get your Sim into the spirit of the season by decorating. Right now it has just turned fall. To fulfill this roll I will be changing the decorations on the porch, changing the living room wallpaper, and changing Tom’s t-shirt every season. I will also have to either throw a party on each holiday, or visit the festival on that day.

I thought it was funny that one of the ghosts wanted to haunt this piece of graffiti.

Tom became a level 9 nerd and I chose the party animal trait for him. I thought this trait might be helpful with all the parties he will need to throw with A Sim for All Seasons.

Aidan: Time passes by. The reflection of our lives is not always clear. It can be fuzzy and cause confusion. Where does one image end and the next begin? How do you know to move on? The answer is different for every person.

So Aidan decides that it’s time to retire.

Next time: Tom gets a job and we see Gwen as an adult!
