Christine: 8.2 “Crepes”

Last time with the Diffys, Christine started out generation eight, we visited the festival on Leisure Day, and Christine began her university term. This time…

Time for the first day of class. Unlike the last time I played university, I am not playing with any mods that make the university skill bar easier. I think the reason that it was so difficult for me last time was because of how laggy my game used to be, so we’ll see how this goes.

Even with the rain, these art students must paint outside. (That’s Samantha Grey, BTW. More with her later.)

And the classroom grind begins.

Christine: “I’m two minutes late.”

Christine loves meeting people after class.

Wow, these university students are rambunctious.

Christine got invited to a party by her classmate Samantha Grey.

There’s a lot of streaking going on here.

Christine also discovered that Ye Gangnam does not like kids.

Christine: “Why? There’s no reason to dislike them. They’re innocent!”

Ye: “Kids are gross!”

It’s getting late anyway; time to go home.

Samantha: “Chris! I’m so glad you came!”

Christine: “Thanks for inviting me!”

The parties at Samantha’s dorm become an almost nightly gathering.

Christine and Ye put aside differences for a bonfire.

Christine got her grades in for the term, which she was pretty happy about.

Christine invited her classmate Eddy Mullis out on the Saturday before returning home. They met at Keith’s Comics.

Christine: “I had so much fun this term! I mean, it was hard, but I feel like I’ve grown a lot in my art skills, too.”

Eddy: “Yeah, I’ve never pushed my skills so much before this.”

There are quite a few Sims over here dancing; I presume they are celebrating the end of the term.

So Christine and Eddy decided to join in.

Eddy: “I don’t really dance much.”

Christine: “Yeah, but look at all of us having fun!”

Eddy: “You really know how to have fun, don’t you?”

Christine: “And I chose the perfect person to do it with.”

Awww.

They agreed to start dating.

Then watched a movie together.

Christine: “The sad parts always get to me.”

Eddy isn’t interested in the movie, but he’s happy to spend as much time with Christine as possible before they leave.

Back home.

Gwendolyn: “So glad you’re back, honey!”

Christine: “The trick is maintaining your balance.”

Christine: “Now you try.”

Christine: “So this guy I met is great; we’re both art majors, and we have a lot of the same classes.”

Tom: “You need to be careful, Christine. I know how excited you get about things, but don’t get attached to a guy before you know what he’s really like.”

Christine: “I’m not attached, I’m just happy that–”

Christine: “Dad, when did you learn how to do that?!”

Tom: “That’s just my natural athleticism, of course.”

Tom: “Your turn.”

Christine: “Hymph.”

Christine has a wish to visit Champs Le Sims, so I thought between university terms would be the perfect time to do so. (Yes, we still have Aidan’s cop car, which Tom tends to use.)

First thing Tom and Gwen do is autonomously play catch with each other. At least they are matched equally here.

Enough of that; time to make some wine nectar!

Tom is the one who jumps into it.

And falls on his butt.

Christine and Gwen play it safe with the free samples.

I wanted to check out the Forgotten Burial Ground.

There were Sims legitimately mourning here.

Tom found a relic!

Tom wished to eat crepes, but I couldn’t buy that at the food vendor, so I guess I’ll just keep that one locked in for now. We were able to get the recipe for it, though.

Tom was goofing off on his laptop while Christine sketched and Gwen was playing chess with a townie. Soon they were getting homesick, though.

It was decided that they would prefer to go home a bit early rather than stay for the full vacation.

Next time: Christine returns to university and has a lot to think about.
